The Safety Show Goes On Moore Park

The height of safety

A building rich in history, the Royal Hall of Industries has been known to Sydneysiders for years as the Showbag Pavilion. It now hosts modern events and functions – and needed an upgrade to bring the building’s compliance to current Australian Standards AS/NZS 1891:2009.1-4 and AS 1657-2013.

Delivering results from top to bottom

Backed by years of expertise, Anchor Safe designed, manufactured and installed the system and completely project managed the upgrade. This included designing safe work practices around the scheduled program of works and coordinating works with current activities held in the building.

The upgrade involved two stages – a stairway from the roof turret to plant platform and a curved roof access ladder to a stairway.

Products and configurations used within this project included:

  • Over 16m of roof staircase
  • 3m stepped type ladder
  • Guard railing on all staircases and step ladders
  • Platforms to access doors
  • Service signage and certification.

Now this grand and historic building is fully equipped to host fantastic events in the future.
