The height of safety
Whether it’s accessing plant & equipment, solar panels or general maintenance, large shopping centres are continually needing safe roof access for maintenance purposes. Anchor Safe visited 11 large shopping centres to conduct an audit on their height safety systems. We then put forward proposals for upgrades to bring their roof access systems up to current height safety standards.
Our comprehensive design documentation and recommendations combined with our proven expertise gave our client the confidence to move ahead with the solutions on all 11 shopping centres. Anchor Safe have now completed working across those 11 sites, dealing closely with the Facility Managers to design the most practical and effective solution to access their roof for on-going maintenance and servicing.
Delivering results from top to bottom
Upon inspecting the various sites it was discovered that the current height safety systems on site were not compliant to the Australian Standards.
A few of the most common issues were;
- Anchors out of pendulum
- Existing anchors inaccessible due to solar
- Ladders installed incorrectly and not to standard
- Roof damage due to lack of walkway
- Many unprotected edges where plant and equipment needed to be accessed frequently
Anchor Safe eliminated all risks by providing an effective and practical solution to allow safe and easy access to plant equipment. Once again we covered all bases to ensure the client would be rest-assured that their contractors and employees have the safest working environment possible.
